Meet your speakers:
🚲 Simon Telfer - AWUCCB & Bike Wānaka
Simon has been a vocal advocate for active transport in Wānaka since 2017. Outside of this work Simon is a governance professional, chaired QLDC's Regenerative Recovery Advisory Group (post COVID) and a member of the Wānaka Upper Clutha Community Board. He can often be seen riding his bike.
🚲 Jennifer Smart - Content Strategist & Creator and LIghtfoot Co-Founder - Queenstown
Jennifer is a business owner, content strategist and creator. She's also a co-founder of the Lightfoot initiative in Queenstown and a passionate active transport advocate. Her whakaaro will be mostly about how Lightfoot's projects are working with what we've currently got in terms of transport networks to reduce car dependency, while also imagining a future where active modes are the first choice of travel for Queenstowners.
🚲 Georgia Merton - Writer and documentary producer - Wānaka
Georgia is a writer and documentary producer. Over the years she has written long form pieces for a range of publications.
In more recent years, Georgia has both produced and co-directed publicly funded short documentaries across the South Island. Georgia most recently undertook an incredible bike packing adventure through India. She believes in the power of stories to shape our world and we eagerly await the next one!
And like all of our Green Drinks, the event is open to everybody so bring a friend, grab your $5 tickets and let's talk about how we can continue the love of cycling 🚲
